Townhouse
This home was completely gutted to create a light, Georgian Industrial style in the interiors. Reclaimed materials add many unique touches, including wood beams in the kitchen and breakfast space that give the home a refined yet rustic feel. The powder room sink features a repurposed wall fountain. The spiral staircase center post was carved from a single tree trunk that was hand-shaped to support each individual stair tread. A Georgetown University professor, skilled in concrete work, formed and poured the concrete countertops in the kitchen.

The center post featured prominently in the spiral staircase was carved from a single tree trunk, and had to be hand-shaped to support each individual stair tread. It took our craftsman about a week to notch the center post and fit each tread.
